A Prescription for 25th Amendment

Editor, News-Register: Sadly, last week’s media revealed this country has reached that point. How much longer can this malarkey go on? There’s the constant failing memory, talking to dead people and clearly defined elder abuse. For this unique country to survive, it is well past time to invoke the 25th Amendment. Since I identify as a doctor, I am qualified to make that assessment. Since I did not do my internship under Dr. Fauci, my diagnosis can be applied to private citizens too. C’mon, man, Ricky Stash should be banned from this paper due to his terminal case of Trump ...

Explain Fire HQ Relocation

Editor, News-Register: I think the public needs to know why the Wheeling Fire Department is being forced to move from its current headquarters to multiple locations for the company demolishing the OVMC complex. There are at least four buildings on the east side of Eoff Street that could be demolished before moving on to the west building. That would provide time for the new facility to be completed. Don’t We Control Land?

Editor, News-Register: Who should be making decisions about how to use land in West Virginia? Obviously, our Republican legislature does not want the federal government to be making these decisions. WVU’s Big Win Over KU

Send Love To Furry Friends

Editor, News-Register: On Valentine’s Day, don’t forget to celebrate the four-legged family members who offer us unconditional love along with wet kisses and wagging tails. In honor of the holiday, spend some quality time with the furry love of your life, whether taking a long walk outside or snuggling on the couch. Volunteering at your local shelter is another rewarding way to give back to animals in need. Finally, consider adopting a pet to save a life and bring even more love into your home and heart. Bring Santa Back to Fort

Editor, News-Register: Since the Nutcracker Festival and Village opened in 2015 in Steubenville, it was among my favorite events to attend. Seeing those life-sized nutcrackers at the Historic Fort Steuben was astounding and magical! The artistry of the nutcrackers is captivating. I have gone to see the Nutcrackers every year since the display was created. I enjoy everything connected with what the Historic Fort Steuben has to offer including all the outside decorations, the Holiday Marketplace, the performing groups and the displays at the Visitor Center. When I went to the fort in ...
