Editor, News-Register: For way too long, the average person in Jefferson County has not had a voice in their community. I discovered this several years ago when my work as a local activist put me in touch with men, women, children, workers of all kinds and even political leaders. Editor, News-Register: My heart goes out to my hometown of Wheeling in the overwhelming events of the June 14 flooding. No words can express the damage, loss of life and shock of having to start over. Wheeling is strong and courageous and God is there now with you all. I put you on the prayer list at the Vatican.
