Fifth Person Dies of Coronavirus in Ohio County

WHEELING — A fifth person in Ohio County has died from COVID-19, county health officials announced Tuesday. The person, whose name and age were not released, died after being hospitalized with the coronavirus, Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department Howard Gamble said. The last person in the county to die from complications of COVID-19 was a 49-year-old woman on July 30. Her death capped a month in which coronavirus cases spiked in the county with 161 in July. Ohio County To Mail Out Ballot Applications For General Election

WHEELING — The state of West Virginia won’t be sending out ballot applications to all registered voters for the Nov. 3 presidential election, but Ohio County is making plans to do so on its own.
