Jerry and Kathy Fiutem will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on Monday, Aug. 24.They were united in marriage on Aug. 24, 1990, in Bridgeport by Mayor Charles W. Furbee Sr.Jerry Fiutem is the son of the late Albert and Martha Fiutem.He is a funeral director for Wilson Funeral Home in Bridgeport.Kathy Fiutem is the daughter of the late Raymond and Gertrude Wukeson. Couple Celebrates 50th

George and Lana Strauss of Wheeling are celebrating their 50th anniversary.They were united in marriage on Aug. 14, 1965 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Wheeling.Lana Strauss is the daughter of the late Harry and Betty Dutton. She is retired from Orchard Park Day Care.George Strauss is the son of the late George and Mary Strauss. He retired from the Wheeling water department.They are the parents of George Strauss, who lives with his wife, Hollie, in Groveport, Ohio; and Tammi Leonard, who lives with her husband, Shawn, in Canal Winchester.They have three grandchildren.

Fred and Billie (Gautschi) Russell of Wheeling celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, Aug. 12.They were united in marriage on Aug. 12, 1950 in Wheeling.Fred Gautschi is a retired electrician from IBEW 141.They are the parents of Peggy (Gene) Kuznicki and Debbie (Joe) Carpenter, of Shadyside; and Jim (Cindy) Russell, Karen (Leonard) Rycerz and Jackie (Chad) Martin, all of Wheeling.They have nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.They are celebrating the occasion with a family gathering today.
