Wheeling Central Rallies Late to Score 11-7 Win Over Crusaders

STEUBENVILLE -- Wheeling Central scored five unanswered runs over the final two innings for a come-from-behind, 11-7 win over Steubenville Central Catholic Monday.
Steubenville Central led 7-6 after a 3-run bottom of the fourth, but the Maroon Knights had the final blow, scoring two runs in the top of the sixth and three more in the top of the seventh.
Peyton Toepfer got the win on the mound, throwing four shut-out innings in relief while striking out five.
Freshman Gary Hatfield drove in four runs on two hits while senior Ben Foster hit two doubles and a single while driving in a pair. Braxton Billick also had two hits and two RBI.
Tyler Consolidated 7, St. Marys 0
St. MARYS -- Jayden Helmick struck out 10 over seven shut-out innings as the Silver Knights improved to 18-7. The junior yielded just four hits while walking none.
Zade Billins and Ty Walton both drove in three runs at the plate with two hits. Walton hit a triple. Carson Gorby secured the final RBI with a run-scoring double.
Magnolia 14, Clay-Battelle 10
BLACKSVILLE -- The Blue Eagles secured a high-scoring win in dramatic fashion, scoring seven runs in the top of the seventh to steal a win from the CeeBees.
Magnolia trailed 9-7 entering the final frame, but plated seven in the seventh for the win.
Jordan Thomas and Kaleb Starkey each drove in two runs in the win. Thomas, Brady Dinardo and Drake Kocher each collected two hits. Conner Dyer and Hunter Oats also had RBIs.
Madonna 8, Linsly 7
WEIRTON -- A Blue Don run in the bottom of the sixth was the difference as Madonna won a close one over the visiting Cadets of Linsly.
Marquis Parker pitched three scoreless innings to close the game out for Madonna, picking up the win in the process. He struck out two, walked one and allowed just two hits.
Matt Amaismeier, Coleton Littleton and David Connors led a balanced Madonna offense with two hits and an RBI each.
Adam Och had a single, triple and two RBI for Linsly. Collin Paull hit a 2-run home run.
Martins Ferry 18, East Liverpool 0
EAST LIVERPOOL - Martins Ferry made its trip to Columbiana County a quicker stay by dispatching the Potters in five innings.
The Purple Riders struck 12 times in the opening inning and never looked back.
Senior Jackson Romshack picked up the mound win with six strikeouts and just a walk. Colin Sneadeker had a huge game at the plate with a home run, two doubles, a single and five RBI. Connor Probst had two doubles, a single and two RBI. Braydon Maine had three singles and two RBI and Baron Lucey had two doubles and a like number of RBI.

HANNIBAL - The Dragons rallied late against the Pilots to pull out the win.
Peyton Blue had a double and single for the Pilots, while Elijah Wayt had a double, single and a RBI.

Martins Ferry 5, Linsly 4
MARTINS FERRY - Eve Agnew's two-run single rallied the Purple Riders (14-1) past the Cadets for the second time in a week.
Linsly had taken a 4-3 lead in the top of the seventh, setting the stage for Agnew's heroics. She finished with a trio of one-base raps.
Maria Clark, who picked up the win inside the circle in relief, slugged a single and solo home run. She also fanned four and walked one.
Taylor Bell singled twice and knocked in a run.
Brooke Edge homered for the Cadets. Alexis Finley had a single and two runs batted in. Haley Heitz singled and doubled to drive in one. Sophia Monk had two singles.
Barnesville 5-4, Beallsville 1-1
BEALLSVILLE - The visiting Shamrocks used a pair of sterling pitching efforts in sweeping the host Blue Devils.
In the opener, Jasmine Caldwell struck out 10, didn't walk a batter and scattered half-a-dozen hits. Maddie Schaffer drove in two runs with a single and double, while Lily Welch had a two-run single. Abigail Johnson doubled and homered.
Brooke Wells had two singles for the Blue Devils. Jaycee Huffman singled and doubled, while Leah Trigg singled in the lone run.
In the nightcap, Johnson tossed a four-hitter with four Ks and no walks. She helped her own cause with a single, double and RBI. Ellie Thompson singled twice and tripled.
Kinley Hughes doubled and Huffman drove in the Blue Devils' run.
Buckeye Local 11, Bridgeport 0, 5 inn.
CONNORVILLE - The Panthers continued their late season surge as Samantha Ankrom fired a one-hitter, striking out four and walking a pair.
Isabella Hepburn smacked a three-run double to lead the winners' 12-hit attack. Alexa Williams and Ava Williams evenly divided four singles, with Alexa driving in a run. Kassidy George also singled twice and plated a run, while Rylie White, Josey Meddles, Alli Trekal and Melissa Smith all singled in runs. Morgan Richardson had a triple.
The Bulldogs only hit was a single by Kaylee Bain.
