SHADYSIDE – In an early season clash of undefeated high school softball teams, River scored twice in the third and two more times in the fourth to hand Shadyside its first setback in a 4-1 decision at the Mead Township Park Complex. Senior Ava Wohnhas continued to shine, both inside the circle and at the plate as the Pilots improved to 5-0. She struck out six, didn’t walk a batter and surrendered seven hits.
