The Marshall County Chamber of Commerce invites you to its annual State of Marshall County Breakfast at 8 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, at the Grand Vue Park Special Events Hall. Transitioning to educational opportunities, Marshall County Schools has announced its Adult Education Fall 2025 schedule, offering adults the chance to return to the classroom alongside students. Free adult education classes and fee-based evening enrichment classes are now accepting reservations, with details available in the posted schedule. Classes are offered on a first-come, first-served basis with limited space, and no refunds will be issued after the first class. Registration is complete only after tuition or fees are paid. For those interested in community support programs, the Marshall County Family Resource Network and Brooke-Hancock FRN are teaming up to offer a "Grandparents: Getting Started" course through Safe Sitter. Designed to equip grandparents with best practices and life-saving skills for childcare, the course will take place from 10-11:30 a.m. Sept. 9 at the Marshall County FRN in Moundsville. The West Virginia Department of Transportation is hosting a hiring event for Transportation Worker 1 – Equipment Operator and Transportation Worker 2 – Equipment Operator positions across Hancock, Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel and Tyler counties. The Marshall County Animal Rescue League, in partnership with the Tiffany Dlesk Spay and Neuter Clinic, will host a free rabies vaccination clinic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 6 at 74 Animal Shelter Drive, Moundsville. Appointments are available from 9 a.m. to noon, with walk-ins accepted following that. Plans for the 2025 annual Dungeon of Horrors are underway. A "Kids' Night" is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15.
