A “Mayorkas” Victory

In the upcoming months ahead, some political writers and podcasters will be explaining about what the world would be like if Trump had won a second term. The stories will be slanted depending whether these people are a conservative or liberal. I'll leave it to others to debate whether we'd be paying for three wars, having record inflation, experiencing stock market highs, etc.

As for Covid and the lack of the vaccine living up to expectations, my guess is one party would be placing all the blame on Trump, the other defending him. Due to the mixed results, Fauci would have been fired by Trump, but he'd still be the darling of the Left.

More than most narcissist or politicians Trump's modus operandi .has never indicated he'd take responsibility for when things go "sideways" like the vaccines did. Oddly, Joe and Kamala may have both been right when they vowed they wouldn't take the shots under the Trump Presidency before loving them when they became in control of the free world and wanted everyone (except those "new" to this country and protestors to get them.

The issue there is no doubt about is having 8-10 million "new", mostly non English speaking, mostly young males in our population, who were "invited" by the present administration to enter our country. Who couldn't see this being a problem? Didn't our aging politicians remember what happened when Reagan made the mistake of letting Castro empty the prisons during the 80's. I'm sure George Soros and his followers did, along with Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro

The two ruling classes can try to point fingers at the failure to agree on an immigration policy in the past all they want, but for those who remember the fable about the blond Dutch boy with his finger in a dike, the solution to fixing the slow leak wasn't to pull the boy away while the leaders figured it out or argue who was to blame, but it's exactly what was done in January of 2021.

In an attempt to make the "Orange" man look bad at every turn, we are witnessing history repeating itself with our own pyrrhic victory in real time, and it's not going to get much better even if our "red tie" Dutch boy gets back in charge. King Pyrrhus of Epirus may soon be off the hook for his costly victory being named after him The name "Mayorkas Victory" may replace it.
