"A human being begins as a submicroscopic speck, and by the human principle of life which God gives it develops all its organs and bones and nerves and gradually develops into a grown man." (Mary Peckins Ryan, "Christ and Church.")
Holding fast to the truth of the above statement, every pro-life organization in the state of Ohio is urging a yes vote on the state's Issue 1.
Their opponents, backed by the American Civil Liberties Union and funded by Planned Parenthood, are claiming that a no vote is somehow promoting freedom, when their plan is exactly the opposite. The left-wing plan is to pass a constitutional amendment codifying abortion until the moment of birth.
Rather than freedom, their plan will remove conscious protection from all medical personnel, make sidewalk counseling a crime, remove parental notification of a minor's request for abortion and eliminate any public opposition to the butchering of the unborn. Driving around our area, the signs of the radical left are evident, promoting a no vote as something laudable, when it is exactly playing into the hands promoting inherent evil.
Issue 1 raises the percentage needed to alter the state constitution from 50% plus 1 to 60%. Something as serious as a constitutional amendment should require a supermajority to prevent tyranny of a minimal majority. May all who believe that life is a God-given blessing wake to the attempted tyranny of the abortion factories and support the passing of Issue 1.
