Letters to the Editor

Presenting One Side of the Facts

2 min read

Editor, News-Register:

I have noticed that Mr. Bill Bryant of St. Clairsville and that (Richard) Hord from Martins Ferry are still constantly writing letters to the editor of this newspaper hoping to get published.

I would like to reply and respond to these letters that they have written.

But unfortunately I can't do that. That is because I have to admit that I did not read any of them. I always look at the authors of letters before I read them and if it says their names then I don't waste my time reading them. And because I haven't read them it would make any response or reply from me uninformed, lacking in knowledge or information and ultimately unintelligent.

It's not a secret that if you don't know both sides of a story then you just don't know the whole story. I guess that's why juries and judges hear both sides before they make their decisions.

Since both of these authors have admitted that they never-ever and in no-way will they ever watch or listen to any conservative television news or talk shows, then they themselves are admitting that they are uninformed and that they lack the knowledge and information that is needed to form an intelligent opinion. They have admitted that they only listen to and watch one side of every story at all times and obviously they listen to it over and over. They only know the facts as one side presents them.

I believe if you look up the word "indoctrination" that this is a perfect example of how indoctrination works.

I would like to see this newspaper put in their daily poll sometime "Do you read the letters to the editor that Bill Bryant of St Clairsville and that (Richard) Hord from Martins Ferry write to this paper? Or do you just skip them?"

I would predict that a vast majority are like me and don't wanna waste their time.

Remember, even 98% truth is still a lie.
