STEUBENVILLE - The Steubenville Catholic Central boys' basketball team is under new direction for the first time in nine years.
Chris Tarquinio leads the Crusaders and he has four seniors to lean on in Jake Bolger, Lucca DiMichele, Austin Fowkes and Nate Kolinski.
Bolger averaged 12.3 points and 7.3 assists and made the Ohio Division IV Eastern District third team.
"The kids have been working extremely hard getting ready for the season," Tarquinio said. "We as a group are all learning together. We as a staff are learning the personnel and the kids are adjusting as well."
Steubenville Catholic, which finished 11-12 last season, has juniors A.J. Connor, Geno DiBiase, Donnie Vandeborne and Joe Zinno; and sophomores Dominic Argentine, Matt Bell, Justin Hartzell, Matt Kilonsky and Isaac Schmitz; and freshman Luca Connor.
"It's a process," the new coach said. "In order for us to be the team we want to be we have to do the little things correctly.
"We have a lot of tradition here at Central and I am honored to once again be a part of it."
