Bridgeport Looks To Turn Program Around In 2022-23

BRIDGEPORT – The last few seasons have not been good to the Bridgeport girls basketball program, but head coach Brittany Hicks is more than excited with what she has seen from her squad coming into the 2022-23 seasons. The Bulldogs return four letterwinners from last winter. Two of them – seniors Kaylee Bain (5-6) and Alexis Clemens (5-8) – are seeking their fourth letters. SHADYSIDE – With six returners who logged good minutes a season ago, a pair of senior building blocks to work around, Coach Serge Gentile’s Shadyside team is looking to hit the floor running in 2022. The Lady Tigers will be led by senior do-it-all Gentry Brown (5-9, forward), who is coming off a junior campaign that saw her earn first team All-District, second-team All-OVAC and honorable mention All-Ohio awards.
