Hancock County at State’s Highest Infection Rate

Hancock County earned a dubious distinction when the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources daily COVID-19 alert map was released Friday morning. Hancock had the highest infection rate of any of West Virginia’s 55 counties. Its rate was 158.68 cases per 100,000 residents. The next highest was Mineral County at 151.53.
