SHIRLEY MICHAEL

Shirley F. Michael of Paden City, WV passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026 at Genesis Sistersville Center, in Sistersville, WV. She was born on August 27, 1938. Daughter of the late Stanley and Jessie Winland of Green Acres, WV.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Royce and Herman Winland.

Surviving are her beloved husband for 68 years, Gregory Michael of Paden City, WV. Children, Marcia (Dana) Davis of Bentonville, AR; Greg (Randi) Michael of Parkersburg, WV; Becky (Shawn) Williamson of Canal Winchester, OH; and sister, Vivian Parsons of New Martinsville, WV. Grandchildren, Justin Davis of Springdale, AR; Blake Davis of Chicago, IL; Ben Davis of Rogers, AR; Sean (Madison) Michael of Mineral Wells, WV; Amanda (Chris) Ware of Parkersburg, WV; Evan (Shayla) Michael of Parkersburg, WV; Seth (Emily) Williamson of Jackson, OH and Hayley (Taylor) Vincent of Lancaster, OH. Great-grandchildren, Eliana, Elias and Emry Kay Michael; Isaiah Ware; Liam and Levi Michael; Harper and Hutch Williamson; and William and Daisy Vincent. The grandchildren and great-children all lovingly called her Nana, and she will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

Shirley was a faithful Christian and a member of the Pleasant Valley church of Christ. She graduated from Magnolia High School. Over the years, Shirley served the public in many ways; as a dedicated Wetzel County Commissioner and board member for the Little Kanawha Resource Conservation and Development Council (RC&D), West Virginia Silver Haired Legislature and Wetzel County Committee on Aging. She was also an active member of the Paden City Women's Club, Paden City Garden Club and Democratic Women's Club. In past years, she was a Cub Scout Leader and also worked as a part-time recorder for the City of Paden City. Through their 68 years of marriage, Shirley and her husband, Greg, enjoyed spending their time together in many ways. In their younger years, they would gracefully twirl around the roller rink as they couple skated. It was a quite a sight to see! They traveled to many places and also camped at most of West Virginia's beautiful state parks, but their most cherished times were spent with family and close friends.

Friends received noon until time of service at 1 p.m., Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 309 N. Fourth Avenue, Paden City, WV with Brian Price officiating. Burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in New Martinsville, WV.
