Due to ongoing concerns with COVID-19 and state regulations on gathering sizes, Ohio County Schools Friday decided to move Wheeling Park High School’s planned Aug. 2 graduation ceremony to Wheeling Island Stadium.
The event is scheduled for 3 p.m. that day. Each graduate is eligible for two tickets, and those attending will be required to distance from other families.
Additional details, such as a rain date, are still being coordinated, and that information will be shared as soon as possible, school officials said.
The ceremony had initially been planned for WesBanco Arena.
