WHEELING — A Washington Post report, citing confidential Vatican records, found that former Wheeling-Charleston Diocese bishop Michael Bransfield spent $2.4 million on personal travel and $4.6 million to renovate his private residence in Wheeling.
During his travel, Bransfield would utilize chartered jets and stay in luxury hotels, the Post investigation found.
