Poll: Economy Is Top Issue for Ohio Voters

The economy continues to be the top issue for Ohioans as the 2026 midterm and gubernatorial election moves closer. The most recent Emerson College poll showed nearly half of all respondents said the economy is the most important issue for Ohio voters, clearly outdistancing threats to democracy, health care, housing and immigration. Paden City Woman Admits To Embezzling $13,701 From Wetzel-Tyler Board of Health

A Paden City woman pleaded guilty this week to embezzling nearly $14,000 from the Wetzel-Tyler Board of Health. Marsha Ann Carse, 63, entered a guilty plea on Tuesday in Tyler County Circuit Court to the felony offense of embezzlement. She was indicted during the October grand jury term in connection with the alleged offense arising from her former employment with the Wetzel-Tyler Board of Health. It was alleged that she embezzled $13,701.58 from the Board of Health from 2016-22. A felony charge of falsifying accounts was dismissed pursuant to a plea agreement. The court ordered ...
