Former West Virginia State Sen. Larry Edgell, who rose to the role of president pro tempore, died Wednesday at age 79, according to statements from the West Virginia Democratic Party and Gov. Patrick Morrisey. Edgell, a longtime educator and U.S. Navy veteran, lived in New Martinsville and served the Second Senatorial District from 1998-2014. Two Major Carmakers Reach Settlements With Owners

Two major carmakers owe owners of their vehicles in Ohio fixes for problems, and one owes them cash. Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced a settlement with Mercedes and another with Hyundai and Kia. Both were multistate settlements.
