ST. CLAIRSVILLE – Cindi Henry, auditor for Belmont County, is warning residents after discovering a fraudulent version of the county auditor’s website online. Henry said the cloned site closely resembles the official Belmont County Auditor's Office website but adds an “s” to the web address, changing it from “Auditor” to “Auditors.” “Basically what it is, is the website is Belmont County Auditor not auditors. Early Voting Under Way And Brooke County Officials Are Ready

WELLSBURG – Early voting for the May 12 primary is underway, and Brooke County officials are ready. During Tuesday's Brooke Commission meeting, commissioners approved a slate of poll workers to serve during the early voting period, which began Wednesday and will run through May 9. “This is done for the early voters and it's for 10 days,” explained County Clerk Kimberly Barbetta. Bellaire Man Gets Life In Prison For Rape Of Minor

ST. CLAIRSVILLE – A Bellaire man was sentenced Tuesday to life in prison with possibility for parole for the rape of a minor. Thomas Edward Carson, 47, could be eligible for parole after 18 years, said Belmont County Prosecutor Kevin Flanagan. Carson was arrested this past October after Belmont County Sheriff’s detectives began looking into the alleged rape of a 12-year-old.
