Catholic Charities accepted a large contribution of food and cleaning supplies for local flood victims on Monday. Community Markets of Shepherdstown coordinated with St. James The Greater Parish in Charles Town and the Wheeling-Charleston Diocese to send one trailer of meat and a second trailer of produce. A third trailer containing cleaning supplies was directed to Wheeling University. The food items provided will be shared with the Soup Kitchen of Greater Wheeling and Chef Adam Luiso, who has been providing meals for flood victims and volunteers. Here, Catholic Charities Neighborhood Center coordinator Derek Lantz, left, hands a box of donated meat to David Haines to start the receiving line.
