Lauren Libera and Jason Kane were united in marriage Saturday, Oct. 18, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Wheeling, with the Rev. Larry Dorsch officiating the double-ring ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Corinne Husten and Lawrence Libera of Atlanta. The bride’s grandparents are the late Mary Ellen and the late John Libera of St. Louis.
The mother of the groom is Catherine Sword of Columbus. The groom’s grandparents are Vivian Shutler of Wheeling and the late Eugene Shutler.
Amanda Mahoney was maid of honor. Kristin Smith, sister of the groom, was best woman.
Other attendants included Richard Libera, brother of the bride; Teresa Schuessler; Drew Libera; Grace Yen; Jordan Seltzer; Brady Vannest; Katherine Reilly; Scott Buga; Christina Balz; Daniel Kirzane; Brooke Smith; Carter Curry and Gabby Payne.
A reception was held at Oglebay Park, Wheeling.
The bride attended Georgetown University. She is the senior director of StreetWise Partners, a nonprofit organization.
The groom attended George Washington University. He is a reporter-producer for PBS NewsHour.
After a wedding trip to the Smoky Mountains, the couple will reside in Washington, D.C.
