Victoria Jamboree To Celebrate Fall

WHEELING — Celebrate the new season at the Victoria Jamboree at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, with a Fall Classic featuring the Victoria’s award-winning musicians. There is classic country, bluegrass, Elvis, rock’n’roll, and comedy in every show. Lunch With Books Program Eyes Orphan Baby Elephants

WHEELING — The Ohio County Public Library’s next Lunch With Books event will feature a program titled Saving Baby Elephants with Cindy Hubbard. The presentation will take place at noon on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at the library in downtown Wheeling. Hubbard, fresh from a trip to Africa, will discuss the noble work of the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Organization, which includes rescuing, rehabbing and reintegrating back to the wild baby elephants orphaned by poaching. Baby elephants can be adopted by visiting www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org.
