ArtsLink Coffeehouse 2025 Series to Wrap Up This Month

NEW MARTINSVILLE -- ArtsLink's 2025 Coffeehouse Series will wrap up with two performances on Thursday, Aug. 21, and Tuesday, Aug. 26, with performances by Kevin Stokes and Talan Chambers.

The free 6:30 p.m. concerts, sponsored by First Mutual Bank, will be held on the performance deck at the Francis Creative Arts Center at the corner of Maple Avenue and Washington Street in downtown New Martinsville.

Light refreshments will be served, and don't forget a lawn chair. In case of unpleasant weather, the concert will be moved indoors. African photographs by Larry Tackett will on display and available for purchase at each of these events.

A New Martinsville native, Stokes will entertain at the penultimate event of the 2025 Coffeehouse Season, on Aug. 21. His career has taken him to stages all across the country from Toronto to Puerto Rico.

He's been a featured performer on public and national television, toured and recorded with multiple acts, released an all-original solo album, shared the stage and screen with Broadway and Hollywood talents, and performed with numerous acts at our local Back Home Festival.

Closing out the Series on Aug. 26, Chambers, 19, of Sistersville, a country music artist ranging in style from Merle Haggard to Jelly Roll. He has been a guest vocalist and guitarist for the Ebert Brothers and Foggy Meadow Band, opened for Barbara Lynn and the Silver Eagle Band, and was a finalist/semifinalist in the Wetzel County Idol contest.

He also performed at the Hundred Fourth of July Celebration, Back Home Festival in 2023 and 2024, Paden City Labor Day, Music in the Park, ArtsLink Coffeehouse Series in New Martinsville, The Sagebrush Roundup, Mannington Fair, Parkersburg Homecoming, Veterans Hospital in Clarksburg, Mountain Mama Festival and the Tyler County Fair.
