MOUNDSVILLE -- In the style of "America's Got Talent," 10 different acts will perform for a panel of judges during a live performance at Strand's Got Talent at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, at the Strand Theatre in Moundsville.
Every artist will perform at least once. Following the first round of performances, judges will determine the top three. The selected three acts will present a second round to determine first, second and third prize.
First place will win $300 (sponsored by the city of Moundsville Arts and Culture Commission) and will be featured as an opening act for the July 12 Jefferson Friday event.
Second place will win $200 (sponsored by the Green Tab). Third place will win $100 (sponsored by JMHS 69-79 Alumni Association). While at the show, don't forget to make a monetary donation to vote for your people's choice award winner. Adult tickets (18 and up) are $15, and student tickets (17 and under) are $12. Tickets will also be available at the door. Tony Summers will emcee the event.
