WHEELING -- A healthy dose of hard rock and heavy metal will make its way to WesBanco Arena on Saturday, Dec. 2, when Ice Nine Kills and In This Moment bring their Kiss of Death Tour to Wheeling.

Special guests Avatar and New Years Day will open the show, which kicks off at 6:15 p.m.

Ice Nine Kills makes music both timeless and timely, mixing metal, hardcore and punk with accessible power. New hard-rock-and-horror anthems like "Hip to be Scared," "Assault & Batteries," "Take Your Pick," and "Farewell II Flesh" demonstrate Spencer Charnas's fascination with fright, pop culture obsession and his expertise with inescapably wicked melodic hooks and clever twists of phrase.

Dan Sugarman (guitar/vocals), Ricky Armellino (guitar/vocals), Patrick Galante (drums), and Joe Occhuiti (bass/vocals) are the current co-conspirators behind Spencer Charnas, who founded the band as a teen in the early 2000s. Decadent, devious and fiercely insane, Ice Nine Kills celebrates pop culture's darkest edges, mining a cinephile library's worth of iconic horror on "The Silver Scream" and "The Silver Scream 2." The creative marriage made in hell of music and fiction began in earnest with the Top 5 Hard Rock album, Every Trick in the Book, which brought the previous three records' themes to new levels.

Since coming to life in 2005, In This Moment have presided over a diehard fan base under the watch of "mother" figure and frontwoman Maria Brink -- joined by co-founder and lead guitarist Chris Howorth, bassist Travis Johnson, and guitarist Randy Weitzel and Kent Dimmel.

As millions convened upon the group's otherworldly and unforgettable concerts, they quietly emerged as one of the most influential and impactful bands of the 21st century.

To date, in addition to the Gold-selling album, "Blood" (2012), the quintet have garnered six Gold and Platinum singles, followed by a trifecta of Top 25 entries on the Billboard Top 200 with "Black Widow" (2014) and "Ritual" (2017). With a total stream tally well past 200 million as of 2020, "Ritual" elevated them to new creative and critical peaks as well.

In 2022, the band released "Blood 1983," a reimagined EP commemorating the 10-year anniversary of "Blood," and most recently had their song "I Would Die For You" appear on the soundtrack for "John Wick: Chapter 4."
