FAIRVIEW -- The Pennyroyal Opera House will host a bluegrass show tonight, Friday, Nov. 3, featuring acclaimed bluegrass super group, The McLain Family.
Direct from the hills of Kentucky, The McLain Family Band has become internationally known as one of the most spontaneous, creative and spirited groups performing contemporary Appalachian Bluegrass music.
Since 1968, they have performed in all 50 states and 64 countries during 15 international concert tours, some as musical ambassadors of the U.S. Department of State.
The McLain Family Band has appeared on prestigious stages such as the Grand Ole Opry, Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Lincoln Center, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Carter Family Fold.
The opening band for the evening will be Pinnacle Ridge.
The kitchen and doors open at 5 p.m., and the show begins at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $20 per person, and guests age 12 and under are admitted for free.
The Pennyroyal Opera House consists of a 100 percent volunteer staff and is located in Fairview, Ohio just off Interstate 70 at exit 198.
