FAIRVIEW -- The Pennyroyal Opera House will host a bluegrass show today, Friday, Oct. 20, featuring the David Mayfield Parade.
Grammy and Emmy nominated producer David Mayfield on guitar, mandolin and vocals joins two-time National Bluegrass Banjo Champion Steven Moore and former member of The Railsplitters, Christine King on fiddle and vocals, and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Bonnis on bass and vocals, a former member of Cadillac Sky. Together, they parade into town for a light-hearted, fun-filled night of harmony, hot licks and laughs the whole family can enjoy.
The opening band for the evening will be Just Plain Grass.
The kitchen and doors open at 5 p.m., and the show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person, and guests age 12 and under are admitted for free.
The Pennyroyal Opera House consists of a 100-percent volunteer staff and is located in Fairview, Ohio just off Interstate 70 at exit 198 in western Belmont County.
