OES Chapter Meeting Scheduled

WHEELING – Miriam Chapter No. 1, Order of the Eastern Star, will hold its regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, at the Shrine Center, Monument Place, Elm Grove. The chapter and April birthdays will be celebrated. Members are asked to bring their choice of ramen noodles, fruit cups, pudding cups or jello cups for the backpack project. Refreshments will be served by Nola and Carrie Cronin following the meeting. Patty Vermillion, Worthy Matron, and Jim Shannon, Worthy Patron, will preside.

Heroes of the Titanic Remembered

WHEELING – The Ohio County Public Library's next Lunch With Books program will take a look at the Heroes of the Titanic on the anniversary of its tragic sinking. The program will take place at noon on Tuesday, April 14, at the library in downtown Wheeling. True stories of the April 14, 1912, disaster are far more interesting than the movie versions.
