Wayne and Mary Ellen Somerfeldt of Westerville, Ohio, announce the engagement of their daughter, Julie Vanessa Somerfeldt, to Gerald “Jerry” John Smith, son of Allen and Barbara Smith of Bridgeport.
Somerfeldt is a 2012 graduate of Columbus State Community College with an associate degree in surgical technology.
Smith is a 2004 graduate of St. John Central High School in Bellaire. He works as an engineer technician for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and is a sergeant with the Headquarters Company of the 16th Engineer Brigade of the Ohio Army National Guard.
An April wedding is planned.
