Jack and Sandi Blackwell of Wheeling announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessie Lynn Blackwell, to Doug Lucas, son of David and Donna Lucas of Wheeling.
Blackwell is a graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School and a graduate of West Virginia University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She is the marketing manager of Monty’s Foods in Sarasota, Fla.
Lucas is a graduate of Wheeling Park High School. He is employed by the Laborers Union.
An August wedding is planned in Wheeling.
