Couple Celebrates 50th

Edward and Marjorie Nichols of Wheeling celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 5 with a dinner at the Farm Restaurant in Adena. They were united in marriage Nov. 5 in the West Alexander Presbyterian Church, West Alexander, Pa., by the Rev. John B. Hawes. Marjorie Nichols is the daughter of the late Robert and Anna Caldwell of West Alexander. She graduated in the last class to graduate from Claysville High School in 1960. Sachinis Mark 70th Year

Alfonse and Dolores “Doe” Sachini of Follansbee celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Oct. 19. They were united in marriage on Oct. 19, 1946. A World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Pacific, Alfonse Sachini is the son of the late Luigi and Erilia Sachini. Doe Sachini is the daughter of the late John and Lena Williamson. They have a son, Cliff (Debbie), and three grandchildren.

Cuotos Celebrate Golden

David and LeAnn “Lanny” Couto of West Liberty celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday. Dave Cuoto served in the U.S. Army during the war in Vietnam and also served in the U.S. Coast Guard. Lanny Cuoto is retired after 30 years at West Liberty University. They are the parents of Brent Couto (Connie), Wendy Cook (Scott) and Angie Ripley (Brent), along with Heath, who is deceased. They also have 11 grandchildren. They will enjoy a cruise of the Hawaiian Islands to celebrate.

Couple Marks 60 Years

George and Barbara Roberts of Martins Ferry celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday. They were united in marriage on Sept. 29, 1956, at St. Alphonsus Church in Wheeling. George Roberts is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hugh O. Roberts of Wheeling. He served in the U.S. Navy and is retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Martins Ferry plant. Barbara Roberts is the daughter of the late Edward Anthony of Wheeling and the late Lena Gaul of Bridgeport. Yohos Celebrate Golden

Mark and Mary Hickman Yoho of Burch Ridge celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday. They were married on Sept. 24, 1966, at Graysville United Methodist Church, Proctor. Mark Yoho is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and is retired from Ormet Corp. The couple has three children: Penny Menendez, Mark Yoho and David (Shelly) Yoho, all of Burch Ridge. Five grandchildren complete the family.

Parkers Mark 45 Years

Rick and Cindy Parker of Weirton are celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary. They were united in marriage on Sept. 18, 1971, at the old St. Paul Catholic Church on County Road, Weirton. Cindy Parker is the daughter of the late Jack and Grace McQuain. She worked as a substitute aide in Hancock County Schools. Rick Parker is the son of the late Stanley and Roselyn Parker. He retired from Weirton Steel Corp. They have two children: Jody (Chris) Desiderio of Weirton and Ryan (Carey) Parker of Toledo; and two granddaughters. A family celebration was held at Lake Erie in August.
