Gareys Celebrate 60th

Paul and Mary Evelyn Garey of Glen Easton, W.Va., were married 60 years on Oct. 25. They were united in marriage at the Big Run Christian Church in Cameron, W.Va., by the Rev. Harry Gill. Paul is the son of the late Wiley and Naomi Garey, and he is a retired electrician from Garey & Wellman, Inc. Mary Evelyn is the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Wendt, and she is retired from the Moundsville-Marshall County Public Library System. Gumps Celebrate 60 Years

Duane and Daunel Gump celebrated 60 years of marriage on Oct. 24. He is the son of the late Donald and Mary Gump. She is the daughter of the late Rex and Sylvia Conner. Duane is retired from Consol. Daunel is retired from BB&T. They have two children – Scott Gump of Moundsville and Tracey Mason of Wheeling. They are blessed with four grandchildren: Chris Ross of Bethlehem, Jeffrey Gump and Jonathan Logan of Illinois, and Maddie Thomas of Moundsville. A party was held by family and friends.

Spohns Celebrate 50th

Chuck and Nancy Spohn celebrated their 50 year anniversary on Oct. 13, 2023. The couple currently lives in Follansbee, but lived in Wheeling for 41 years. They were married in Bridgeport, W.Va. on Oct. 13, 1973. Chuck is the son of the late Vern and Virginia Spohn, and Nancy is the daughter of the late James and Eleanor Graham. They have three children: son Steve (wife, Wendy) and grandchildren Lukas, Elena and Julia (deceased) Spohn; daughter Pam (husband, Ed) Murdock and grandchildren Andrew and Ava Murdock; and daughter Jenny.

Musillis Celebrate Golden

Tom and Beverly Musilli of McMechen celebrated their 50th Wedding anniversary on Sept. 29. They were married by Father Ralph Salciccia at St. John’s Catholic Church in Bellaire. Their parents are the late Vivian and Homer McVay, and Joann and Earl Musilli. Tom is a retired project manager with the PBGC. Beverly is retired from Uniglobe Ohio Valley Travel. They celebrated with an intimate vow renewal at the home of Brad and Georgie McVay of Shadyside. Snyders Celebrate 50th

Terry and Marti Snyder of Wheeling are celebrating their 50th anniversary. The couple was married on Sept. 29, 1973 at St Vincent’s Catholic Church in Elm Grove. Terry is the son of the late Franklin and Betty Snyder. Marti is the daughter of the late Melvin and Gwen Frohnapfel. Terry is a Marine Corp veteran and is retired from Verizon communications. He currently is working at Oglebay Park golf course. Marti is a retired dental assistant from Dr. Ricardo Zambito Dental Office. Bakers Celebrate 70th

Veneida and Joe Baker of Wheeling celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. The couple met during high school, were married at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, with Rev. John Paulin officiating, and spent their lives dedicated to each other and raising their family. Veneida Baker is the daughter of the late Harry A. Krider and the late Dorothy Krider.
