Couple Marks Golden

Edward C. and Mary Darlene Bryniarski of Lansing celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, Feb. 19.

They were united in marriage on Feb. 19, 1966, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Wheeling.

Edward Bryniarski retired from Ormet Corp. Darlene Bryniarski retired from Wheeling Hospital.

They couple has four children. The family includes Christopher of Cleveland, Amy of Columbus, Tracey Ann Romig of Carroll, Ohio, and Joshua of Brookside.

They have seven grandchildren.

The couple will celebrate with their family and friends.

Couple Marks Golden

Eugene L. Saunders and Ellen Marie West Saunders of Moundsville are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today, Feb. 14.

They were united in marriage on Feb. 14, 1966, in St. Clairsville.

Ellen Saunders is the daughter of Eugene and Phyllis West of Wheeling, who celebrated their 70th anniversary in September 2014. She is a retired switchboard operator at Ohio Valley Medical Center and is the secretary at Laughlin Memorial Chapel in Wheeling.

Eugene Saunders is the son of the late George and Elizabeth Saunders of Moundsville. He is a retired shift foreman from Consolidated Coal Co. (CONSOL Energy) and is the mayor of Moundsville.

They have four children. The family includes Edward Michael (Laurie) of Charles Town, W.Va.; 1st Sgt. Eugene Jr. (Clarissa) serving in the U.S. Army and stationed in Germany; Evan of Leesburg, Va., and Ellicia, deceased. They have 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

They will celebrate in May with a trip to Aruba.
