MORGANTOWN -- West Virginia University football coach Neal Brown has announced that Sean Reagan will join the Mountaineer coaching staff as an assistant coach on the offensive side. Brown will announce staff assignments at a later time.

Reagan joins Chad Scott and Jordan Lesley as new assistants for the Mountaineers.

"We welcome Sean and his family to West Virginia to be part of the Mountaineer Football family," Brown said. "He was on staff at Troy, and we worked together at Texas Tech. He did an outstanding job with our quarterbacks; we had several passers who played at a high level due to Sean's development of them. He is a great addition to our staff."

Reagan comes to West Virginia after serving as an assistant coach for the past eight years at Troy, including the past four years as a member of Brown's staff. He was the co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks' coach in 2018, oversaw the quarterbacks and running backs the previous three years (2014-17) and was the quarterbacks coach from 2011-14. He also served as a graduate assistant in 2010 at Texas Tech, where he worked with Brown, the offensive coordinator of the Red Raiders at the time.

"I am excited to come to West Virginia with Neal Brown and be on his coaching staff," Reagan said. "I've had the privilege of working for him in the past; he's a proven winner who has done an outstanding job in developing players on and off the field. I'm looking forward to coaching in the Big 12 and helping the program continue to build on its winning tradition. My family and I look forward to being part of the Mountaineer Family."

A native of Conyers, Ga., Reagan received his bachelor's degree in physical education and leadership from North Georgia College & State University in 2008.

He, and his wife, Elizabeth, are the parents of three daughters: Heidi, Chloe and Maggie.

Last weekend, Brown announced that Lesley and Scott would join him and defensive coordinator Vic Koenning in Morgantown -- all coached with him at Troy.

"I am excited that Jordan has decided to come to West Virginia and join the Mountaineer Football Family," Brown said. "He brings years of outstanding experience as a defensive coach here to WVU and was a valuable member of Vic's (Koenning) staff at Troy, helping us achieve a lot of success. I'm looking forward to him and his family joining us here."

Lesley comes with Brown and defensive coordinator Vic Koenning after serving as an assistant coach at Troy for the last three years, the first two years as the defensive tackles coach and the 2018 season as the defensive line coach.

"I'm excited to come to West Virginia and join Neal Brown and Vic Koenning on the Mountaineer football staff," Lesley said. "West Virginia has had an outstanding tradition and has had some great defenses with a hard-nosed, attacking style on the field. I look forward to helping the Mountaineers continue to build on their success in the Big 12 and nationally. My family and I can't wait to get started."

Lesley and his wife, Ann Katherine, have one daughter, Mary Kate.

Scott will join the Mountaineer coaching staff as an assistant coach on the offensive side.

"Chad and I have been together at a number of stops, and he will be a great fit on our coaching staff," Brown said. "He has experience in the SEC, Big 12, ACC and Sun Belt along with being a tireless recruiter. He has been a part of some prolific offenses during his tenure and his ability as a teacher and coach will be an outstanding addition to our staff. Chad will do a great job for us."

Scott is reunited with Brown after working with him during three different coaching tenures: Kentucky (RB/2013-14), Texas Tech (RB/2010-12) and Troy (RB/2007-09). He comes to Morgantown after serving as the tight ends and hybrids coach at North Carolina since 2016.

"First off, I am excited to get to work. I'm honored to be a part of Neal Brown's staff and look forward to assisting in continuing to build the rich tradition at West Virginia," Scott said. "I can't wait to meet the players and will work hard in helping to develop these young men on and off the field. My family and I are excited to come to Morgantown and be a part of the Mountaineer Football family and Mountaineer Nation."

Scott graduated from UNC in 2004 with a degree in sociology. He is married to the former Shambrica Jones, who played basketball at Kentucky.

The couple have a daughter, Kori, and a son, Jakobe.

All three assistants will be on the road - along with Brown and Koenning - recruiting as WVU finishes its Class of 2019. National Signing Day is the first Wednesday in February.
