Charles H. and Simone A. Frankenfield of Weirton celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary Saturday.
They were united in marriage June 4, 1943 with the Rev. Holt officiating at the Methodist Church in LaPlata, Md.
Simone A. Hale Frankenfield is the daughter of the late Frank and Simone Hale. She was an employee of Hancock County Schools for 18 years before her retirement in 1980, working as a secretary at Weir High School.
Charles H. Frankenfield is the son of the late Charles and Miriam Frankenfield. He is a veteran of the Marine Corps in World War II and retired in 1980 from National Steel Corp. after 33 years of service.
They are the parents of three sons: Tim of Weirton, Terry of Follansbee and Charles H. Frankenfield III who is deceased. They have three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
