Barbara and Bobby Williams of College Station, Texas, together with Tim and Beverly Glidewell of Dyersburg, Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney Glidewell Steadman to Nate Swearingen, son of Gary and Mary Anne Carter of Valley Grove and John and Beverly Swearingen of Ashland City, Tenn.
Steadman is a graduate of Gibson County High School and the University of Memphis with a bachelor’s degree in music and psychology. She is employed at Sedgwick Claims Management Services Inc. in Memphis, Tenn., as a project specialist.
Swearingen is a graduate of Wheeling Park High School and New York University with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He is employed by Creative Co-Op as a computer programmer in Memphis, Tenn.
A May 16 wedding is planned in Memphis.
