Donald and Minnie Taylor of Wheeling celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday, Nov. 26.
They were united in marriage on Nov. 26, 1955, by the Rev. William M. Erhard at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, where they remain as active members.
Donald Taylor is the son of the late Robert and Bertha Taylor. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict and retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., where he worked as a storeroom clerk and supervisor for more than 37 years.
Minnie Taylor is the daughter of the late W.D. and Jean Hawkins. She worked for the Wheeling Area Training Center for the Handicapped for more than 29 years and retired as a floor supervisor.
They have two daughters: Kim (Joe) Kochy and Tami (Jim) Tysk, both of Wheeling. They have four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren
A family dinner was held in their honor.
