Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Wood of Edmond, Okla. announce the engagement of their daughter, Whitney Lynn, to David Garrison Collins, son of Lt. Col. and Mrs. Scott Collins of Lawton, Okla.
Wood is the granddaughter of Robert and Shirley Ankrom of Moundsville, Jerry Wood of St. Clairsville and Tom Wood of Malta. She is a graduate of Oklahoma University with a degree in English literature. She is teaching pre-kindergarten and works for a company that does princess birthday parties for children.
Collins is a graduate of West Point with a degree in information technology. He is a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army, station at Fort Carson, Colo.
A March 21 wedding is being planned.
