Charles Brent Strope, 84, of Moundsville West Virginia passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026. Born in Wheeling West Virginia to parents Russell E. and Mildred G. Strope, Chuck grew up on a beautiful dairy farm in Marshall County with his 5 siblings and graduated from Cameron High School, he later retired from the CSX Railroad. He enjoyed time with family, his dogs, watching sports, working in the garden, tending to his roses, and his friends during their breakfast gatherings.
He is survived by his spouse Sharon Strope; His siblings Roger S. Strope, Gary W. Strope, and Daniel K. Strope; son, Russell W. Strope and his spouse Connie Strope; two grandchildren Jennifer Nickerson and spouse Kevin Nickerson; two great grandsons Brenden Nickerson and Logan Nickerson; Chris Samples and spouse Deborah Samples; one grandchild Julia Samples; son, Craig D. Strope and his spouse Danyel Strope; three grandchildren Raven Strope, Jacey Strope and Daniel Strope; daughter in law, Donna Strope Taskalines and spouse Chris Taskalines; two grandchildren Andrea Strope and spouse Brian Marshall; great grandchildren; Anson Marshall and Evra Marshall; Hannah Strope-Cupp and spouse Jayme Cupp, great grandchildren; Isla Cupp and Ellis Cupp
He was predeceased by his son Douglas L. Strope, his brother E. Gibson Strope, his sister Carla S. Strahl and his first wife Beverly K. Strope.
