2 min read

MOUNDSVILLE -- The Moundsville-Marshall County Public Library will host the Pittsburgh Puppet Works at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, for a special Summer Reading program performance.

Back by popular demand, this professional puppet troupe will entertain children with the show "Inky's Magical Amusement Mystery." It is aimed at 3-8 year-olds and lasts for about 35 minutes.

Known for creating and performing "professional, hilarious, toe-tappin', engaging and all-around catchy puppet productions" for all occasions and any audience, the Pittsburgh Puppet Works is family entertainment with "real character." The laughs and learning go hand-in-hand and the artistry of the puppets is first-rate.

In this new show, it's opening day at Purrsburgh Amusement Park! The rides are ready, the snacks are set, but what happened to all the park goers? The park was full of sunshine, cotton candy and laughter and then suddenly, it wasn't! Say hello again to Purrsburgh's favorite amateur sleuths -- Inky (the not so scary black cat) and his best friend Albert, as they try and solve the mysterious disappearance at Purrsburgh Park. Inky and Albert encounter curious clues, a stranger's voice and even a trip into the haunted woods, as they search for their missing friends. Will they be able to connect the clues and solve the mystery? Laugh along with the crazy characters of Purrsburgh in "Inky's Magical Amusement Mystery!"

This event is sponsored by the Robert Baker Family. It is free and open to the public. The Moundsville Library is located at the corner of Fifth Street and Tomlinson Avenue. Call 304-845-6911 for more information.
