Border Crossings a Problem in U.S.

Although the situation regarding migrants crossing the U.S. southern border remains a very legitimate concern, there have been significant areas of improvement of late which have largely gone unreported as a result of the work done by President Joe Biden's administration that has been opposed and largely ignored by President Trump and his Republican sycophants in Congress and in the media strictly for political purposes.

For the record it has been reported the actual number of migrants across our southern border has declined by more than 40% since late 2023. It has also been reported the President Biden has successfully negotiated an agreement with Mexico in an attempt to curtail migrants from entering the U.S. by Mexico providing military patrols and putting numerous checkpoints and busing migrants back to Mexico southern border.

These collaborative efforts have proven to be quite successful to date, with such encouraging trends expected to continue into the future.

Also for the record, illegal crossings on our southern border had reached a decade-and-a-half high in 2019. Under then-President Trump the number of southern border crossings had actually increased until the onset of COVID-19. However, if you listen to former President Trump, you would believe incorrectly that illegal immigration on our southern border did not occur until Joe Biden assumed the presidency. In addition, recall that Mr. Trump, while president, had promised that a border wall on our nation's southern border would be constructed, which was still in the early stages of the construction process after four years.

Also recall that former President Trump had essentially ordered his cohorts in Congress to oppose any bill by Democrats to help curtail the immigration crisis to aid him politically.

Obviously, former President Trump has once again prioritized his political ambitions over what is best for our great country. Quite disturbing, but sadly typical to say the least.
