MOUNDSVILLE -- A Bluegrass Extravaganza will take place Saturday, Feb. 17, at the Strand Theatre in Moundsville to benefit the Raise the Arena Foundation.
The show begins at 7 p.m. and features two roof-raising bluegrass bands -- the David Mayfield Parade and Crandall Creek.
There will be a silent auction and a 50-50 raffle. Pre-sale tickets are available online, and tickets will be available at the door for $30. Admission for children ages 6-12 is $10, and kids ages 5 and under will be admitted for free.
Raise the Arena Inc. was an idea born from equestrians and horse lovers in the community who see the need to make the riding area, located at the Marshall County Fairgrounds, more suitable for use by covering it. This covered arena will provide reliable shelter and riding space year round.
The organization is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable entity raising money to fund the construction of the new equestrian arena.
