When I studied the Constitution, I got the part of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness but missed the one where I have the right to pitch a tent and set up a "house" on any public property I feel like, and nobody better dare tell me to move or I'll sue you!
The federal, state, county and city governments should come together and provide minimum housing for the homeless and poor and unfortunate. In days gone by, we had the "poor house" that moved on to being called "public housing" but in the end proved to be a "public slum." Rules evolved to evict drug dealers and addicts and felons, etc. So where do they go and how do they live of survive?
We closed the poor houses because life in them was deemed inhumane; so now these folks live in tents wherever they can get away with it.
"NIMBY" does not want a shelter next door so where do we put it?
What do we do?
