Kudos to Panhandle Cleaning and Restoration for their imaginative, "Conquer the Cones" initiative. It would be wonderful if more businesses, not directly impacted by downtown construction, would step up and contribute to the program or develop one of their own.
It would also be greatly appreciated if the city would publish a weekly downtown detour update. Maps and instructions could be posted on social media and in the newspaper. If customers know how to navigate the area, they will be much more likely to venture into the construction area. Conversly, if they repeatedly get stuck by the ever-changing detour routes, they will give up in frustration.
Please city leaders, give us a map!
