Cameron Elementary PT4 Kids recently sponsored a "Penny War" at which children at the grade school took pennies to their class to raise money for a local organization. This year's recipient was the Blue and Gold Christian Center. PT4 Kids President Amy Stern and her sons, Dexdon and Zaiden, brought several hundred dollars in pennies with some silver and paper to the Center.
This was exciting for the kids attending "Kidz Kamp." This money will be used for food and supplies for the various ministries operating at the Blue and Gold Christian Center. THE BGCC expressed a big Thank You to all the children at Cameron Elementary School for their efforts in the Penny War.
Tammy Morris from the Utility Workers Union of America visited the Blue and Gold Center recently gave a donation to the center. The contribution will be used for food and supplies for the "Kidz Kamp" and "Serving Seniors" Ministries.

I received my first issue of the Wetzel Chronicle this week and in the section "This Week in West Virginia History" was information pertaining to Rosbys Rock. It reads as follows:
"Dec. 24, 1852 the last spike was driven on the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad between Baltimore and the Ohio River. The event occurred at Rosbys Rock near Moundville. To mark the spot where the final spike was driven the following words were carved on the Rock: Rosbys Rock Track Closed Christmas Eve 1852." We know that area as Rosbys Rock being some seven miles from Moundsville.
