WHEELING -- The stars are coming out to shine this weekend in Wheeling when the Chrisagis Brothers Ministries presents a very special Christmas With the Stars at the Capitol Theatre.

The show kicks off at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11.

Famed Hollywood actors, actresses, recording artists and more will all join in the fun in an evening of celebration.

Stars Erik Estrada ("ChiPs"), Stephanie Powers ("Hart to Hart"), Lorenzo Lamas ("Falcon Crest"), Jack Scalia ("Dallas and All My Children"), Catherine Hickland ("One Life to Live") and gold and platinum recording artist John Berry will all take the stage, along with acclaimed stunt comedian Max Winfrey ("America's Got Talent") and singer, model, actor and Hallmark and Lifetime movie star Rob Mayes.

"I'm excited, because I know I'm going to see old friends, and I'm also going to be making a lot of new ones," Hickland said. "I hope you'll be there. It's going to be such a beautiful night."

Locally grown and internationally known recording artists and entertainers The Chrisagis Brothers have brought their celebrity friends to the Ohio Valley in the past during a number of successful shows "With the Stars." However, with the unexpected passing of Shawn Chrisagis earlier this year, it was uncertain whether or not this year's show would go on as planned.

Shawn Chrisagis' surviving twin brother Brian -- one half of the lifelong dynamic duo that has ministered to and entertained generations of people over the course of many decades -- said he found himself at a crossroads in the wake of his brother's untimely death from a heart attack.

But the people from the Ohio Valley and the stars themselves rallied around Brian and encouraged him to not only make this show the biggest and best one to date, but also use it as a fitting means to celebrate the life and legacy of Shawn.

"Jack Scalia, who was at Shawn's service, said that he could step in and be co-host so I would not be up there on stage by myself," Brian said. "Everyone has been so sweet and encouraging."

Donations were received to help make sure Christmas With the Stars 2023 would surely take place, and plans have taken shape to make it a multifaceted celebration to remember.

"Stephanie Powers had planned to sing a duet with Shawn, but now I'm singing it with her," Brian said, noting that his brother traditionally served as the organizer of the duo. "He already had next year's planned, with Jaclyn Smith -- who he adored. But as it stands right now, this is going to be the final Christmas with the Stars."

Brian said if another event of its kind is planned in the future, it will be different than the five previous shows.

This weekend's show will be a unique outing in itself, as the stars will not only help kick off the holiday season, but will also pay tribute to those who have served the country.

"It is a tribute to the veterans, it is on Veterans Day," Brian said. "We have eight stars - the most amount of stars that we've had at one of these. Plus some great local talent. Erik's going to do 'The 12 Days of Christmas' with the audience. If you want to have a fun evening -- come check it out."

A special duet is also being planned to help commemorate the Chrisagis Brothers and all they've done over the years.

"It's going to be a beautiful tribute to Shawn," Brian said.

The show will also showcase area talents Roger Hoard, Jamie Peck, Rick Witkowski, Mark Statler, Joann Copleand and Nikki Flemming and others.

General admission, reserved and gold seating options are available for Christmas With the Stars 2023. A veterans discount will be honored for those with a military identification, and tickets for groups are available at a special rate.

Meet and Greets begin at 3:30 p.m. Doors to the show owpen at 5 p.m., and the event begins at 6 p.m.
