What is currently happening in Ohio has me and I'm sure millions of others very concerned. This November, a radical constitutional amendment will appear on your ballot. It's called Issue 1, and it is an extreme, irreversible expansion of abortion that would outlaw existing, commonsense restrictions. It would allow abortions at any time, by any method and for any reason. Contrary to what you may have heard, Voting NO on Issue One will not ban abortion, but it will preserve the freedom to apply common-sense restrictions, which will be lost if it passes. That's because Constitutional amendments are nearly impossible to overturn. In Ohio's history only three have been repealed.
Issue One also drives a wedge between parents and their children as it allows minors to receive an abortion without their parents' knowledge.
I believe anyone with a soul would come to the conclusion that Issue One has to be defeated. I pray you will do your part by voting NO on Issue 1 and telling others to do the same. This is not a time to avoid voting. Our babies have a right to life and parents have a right to keep their children safe. Vote no on Issue 1!
