This coming Saturday, June 3, the Brooke/Hancock American Cancer Society Relay for Life Walk will take place at Wellsburg's Central Park(18th and Charles Streets) beginning at 6 p.m.
This wonderful and helpful fundraising event is chaired by Tammy Hornick and Della Serevicz. You can meet these ladies at the relay, selling luminarias. You can purchase one to honor your loved ones.
These luminaries will line the walk and will shine on for hope and a cure for cancer.
Relay for Life needs you, the community, to come out and support this event. Perhaps you can walk with survivors and celebrate life.
Come to this event, be a cheerleader and encourage cancer survivors as they do the first lap.
Come to this event, and watch the caregivers of cancer patients as they walk for their patients. Please cheer, thank, and support them.
The American Cancer Society's mission statement is "Save lives, celebrate lives, and lend a fight for a world without cancer."
