This is an open letter to Circuit Court Judge Ronald Wilson. Why did you not sentence Ronald J. Sebeck to the maximum monetary fine of $5,000, and have him serve jail time? You could have sentenced him to one to five years of jail time. Instead, you chose to let him sit in his comfortable home for one year of home confinement, and building boxes with animal food. The monetary restitution does not even begin to give the family peace.
I am sure the family of Poppy would love to be home with their little fur baby. What a brutal, inhumane thing to happen to such a beautiful baby. If this guy would do this to a fur baby, he's capable of doing it to another human being. I feel justice was not done!
Why did this court of law not sentence this man to an alcohol sobriety program? He admitted to drinking before all of this happened. He certainly will not rehabilitate himself.
Your probably wondering why I am taking the time to write this letter, well I'll tell you. First, I am an animal lover. Second, when I was a young girl in junior high school my German Shorthaired Pointer was shot and killed with a bow and arrow. The high school boy who shot him was illegally hunting on posted property, and it wasn't even deer season. He mistook my beloved pet for a deer.
I got no justice from that, and to this day it still upsets me. Because of that one irresponsible person, hunting has left a bad taste in my mouth.
This guy will slip up again, and I hope you throw the book at him! Unfortunately, someone will be hurt or killed. I work, pay taxes, and vote!
