Racists are afraid of looking back, and at the same time afraid to look ahead.
They cite Critical Race Theory (CRT) for their denying the history of Native-American genocide and African American slavery as not true, and must be denied or at least blurred, for CRT will have a negative impact on their children (and their political power).
Replacement Theory is a tenacious fantasy (from whole cloth) that claims liberal Democrats want to "replace" and disempower white Americans.
It has become the mechanism of racist terror, helping inspire a wave of mass shootings in recent years and inspiring the 2017 fascist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.
I blame the "racist" CRT and Replacement Theories for the slaughter of innocents in Uvalde and Buffalo and the many other victims of mass shootings in the United States.
Racism is a depraved stain on the American body politic. The notion of biological race has been recognized as a cultural invention, entirely without scientific basis.
It is immoral. It results in vast inequality to people whose only difference from everyone else is they have darker skin.
To be blunt, Critical Race and Replacement theories are hogwash.
We have a duty to cleanse America of this racism scourge by facing the truth that we are and will continue to be multi-racial society -- that is a good thing. America is a nation of immigrants. A country built upon a shared ethnic, cultural, and linguistic heritage. As the saying goes, "everybody counts or nobody counts."
Dr. King taught us: … "little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."
I fervently hope so.
